Roy
GoldenDoodle Extraordinaire
Beloved Canine Mate of
Blaine Proctor, Director Marketing,
Hotel Phillips
It was two years ago that Blaine first met Roy. Roy was an eight-month old bundle of energy that overwhelmed the small children in the family that was giving him up. At first even Blaine wondered if he’d be too much.
But there was something about Roy that tugged at Blaine’s heart, so Blaine came home with Roy….and it was a great, loving home that the two built together!
Roy was tall enough to reach anything he fancied on the kitchen counter and to greet friends at the door with his front paws on their shoulders and 100 pounds of wagging, stinky dog trying to cover them in kisses. Everyone fell in love with Roy’s big brown eyes and even bigger heart.
After a long work day at the Hotel, Blaine would come home to Roy and the duo would watch “Law and Order” on the velvet sofa in the living room.
Blaine and Roy were looking forward to competing in this year’s FuzzyFotosKC contest when Roy left this world suddenly. Roy passed two days before their appointment to have their photograph taken.
Blaine feels that it would be great to “remember his best friend by raising money for two wonderful organizations that encourage living life to its fullest as long as you’re here. Roy certainly did. I hope you’ll vote for Roy in memory of every pet you’ve ever loved and lost.” |
